Larger Somfy LT30 12V IR Round Head Roller Shade Motor       NEW DESIGN - Overview - The Somfy LT30 IR Round Head Shade Motor is a 12VDC motor that is optional powered with batteries and is designed for use with Venetian Blinds, Silhouette Blinds, Roman Shades or Traditional Roller Shades. The new Somfy LT30 IR Round Head motor is the perfect shade motor for those interested in control via simple IR remote or for users with more advanced home controls using IR remote Technology. This is a simple, easy to use and easy to install solution for your shade motorization needs. The Somfy LT30 motor can be configured come for use with 1.25" and 1.5” rollease tubes as well as Silhouette, Shangri-La, Vienna and Louvolite Tubes. Note: We only offer this motor for purchase on our website with the 1.25" and 1.5" Rollease Tube option. If you need this to for another type of tube you will need to contact us for a special order.     Special Features - The new LT30 RH IR motor features: one button press all the way up/down, stop and a custom programmed preferred position, Learnable IR codes, a new Round Head Design for a cleaner appearance, an IR sensor that can be remotely placed (black or white), non-volatile memory so the limits are not lost when power is lost and perhaps the best feature of all - 8 channels of IR control.     The new LT30 IR motor can be programmed to respond to 1 or eight possible IR control channels. Multiple motors can be programmed to the same channel which gives you more flexibility in setting up your control network. You can set the motor to respond to more than one IR channel so creation of group control is easy and convenient.     How is this motor different than the Somfy RTS motors?         Somfy LT30 IR Round Head Motors are limited to 8 possible IR channels for grouping and or individual control. To control the IR motor you must point the remote at each shade motor sensor every time you want to control it. Since IR devices are line of sight devices you will need to have an IR repeater network installed to take full advantage of the grouping capabilities. The IR Remote Controls feature learnable codes so control of the installation can be easily handed over to an IR based automation system.         Somfy RTS Motors are virtually limitless in their grouping and control capabilities because each RTS radio frequency remote control is unique. More advanced control scenarios can be created completely wirelessly because of the flexibility of the Somfy RTS technology. The RTS motors also have more advanced control options like: Timers, Sun Sensors and Home Automation interfaces that can be controlled via RS232, RS485 and Dry Contact. RTS motors are also Radio Frequency based so you don't have to point a remote directly at the motor to operate it.     Can this motor be retrofitted to existing shades? Yes, this motor can be easily retrofitted to existing shades IF you have a clutch/chain driven roller shade on a 1.25"/1.5” aluminum rollease tube. The motors can be configured for use with either the RB360 or Skyline Rollease Shade Brackets. The Rollease Skyline SLPE53 spring loaded pin-end plug allows for easier installtion of shades into brackets. Rollease Skyline SLB660 Shade Brackets

The SLB660 is a roller shade bracket from the Skyline collection of Rollease. This single bracket is used for both the Pin End (SLPE53) and Motor or clutch end. Since both brackets are the same, you can mount the brackets and then decide what side to put the shade drive mechanism on and if you change your mind on the drive side you don't have to switch the brackets around.       Somfy LT30 and Sonesse ST Motor to Sklyine adapters are available that enable this bracket to be used with Somfy motors. Roller Shade Double Sided Tape 36 yd Roll
