Rollease 2.5" Crown and Drive Kit - RTA6U50



The Rollease RTA6U50 is a Crown and Drive adpeter kit to be used with Rollease 2.5" tubes and Somfy Sonesse 50 and LT50 Motors. One of the nice features of this kit is the use of a rubberized drive wheel that helps to minimize vibrations caused by the motor rotation. The use of the RTA6U50 also eliminates the need for notching and drilling the tube that would normally be required for use with these motor assemblies. One crown and drive kit is required for each end of the tube (1 Set for the motor and one set for the drive).

Somfy 9420800 Universal Idler w/10mm Collapsible Shaft



The Somfy 9420800 Universal Idler End Cap is used opposite the motor and can be used for a variety of tube sizes. The 9420800 Idler features a spring loaded 10mm shaft that allows for easier installation of the shade assembly within the mounted brackets. This idler can NOT be used by it self it must be used in conjunction with the appropriate drive for the specified tube size being used. We stock this idler for use with the Somfy or Rollease 2" smooth wall tubes which requires the use of the Somfy 9206088 2" Hard clip Drive and we also stock this idler for use with the Rollease 2.5" tube which requires the Rollease RTA6U50 crown and drive kit. As is the case with most heavy duty components the use of this idler with smooth wall tubes does require the end of the tube to be notched and the assembly must be either riveted or screwed in place. The nice thing with the 2.5" rollease tubes is that no modification is necessary to the tube since their tube design features an aggressive internal rib pattern. The Universal idler does come with a retaining clip to hold the drive on the idler assembly.

WDouble Sided Roller Shade Tape supplied by Rollease for securing shade material to Rollease tubes. Even though the rollease tubes come with tape we recommend using 2 strips. Using 2 strips holds heavy materials better and helps to protect against tape failure due to inadvertant excessive pulling on shade past its stop limits.
