Second guessing the decision to not have the Buttkicker factory installed in your Berkline Home Theater seat. Well, here is the solution to add the dimension to your home theater experiance that you have been missing. The Buttkicker retrofit kit is now available for the std frame size chairs like the popular 090, 094, 187 etc. Note: This kit will not work with the small frame chairs like the 088, 086 etc.
Installation is relatively simple and only requires a few tools. Drilling is not normally necessary to adapt the Berkline theater seats. Please note that Berkline has changed their frame designs over the years and the instructions may not be exactly correct for some of the older models.
A note worth making as that we have had quite a few customers come into our showroom to experince the Buttkickers. All have been impressed and some were suprised by how different it was compared to other demos they have witnessed. There are two reasons for this: 1) the other demos may not have been with actual Buttkickers and or 2) the Buttkickers were not set-up properly. To properly enjoy the Buttkicker we strongly recommend the use of the Buttkicker amplifier and the amplifier must be connected to the subwoofer output of your AV Receiver or surround sound processor. Other things can be done to further enhance the experience like attaching the RI-K28 or VI-43 rubber feet to the base of the chair which helps isolate the chair from the floor.

The only tactile transducer designed specifically to take advantage of the .1 and LFE channels, the ButtKicker® LFE features extended low frequency response for powerful bass response and special effects.
The ButtKicker LFE (low frequency effects) utilizes a patented magnetic suspension which is different from any other speaker or shaker and can be used couches, theater seating, platforms, and any type of structure. The ButtKicker accurately reproduce the "feeling" range of many natural and man-made sounds, such as earthquakes, thunderstorms, rocket launches, waves, explosions, tornadoes, volcanoes, dinosaurs and sound effects.
Different from other shakers or tactile transducers that use voice coil technology, the ButtKicker is much more powerful, more musical (linear) and offer true infrasonic or low frequency response with their resonant frequency of 9 Hz and range of 5 - 200 Hz.
One ButtKicker LFE will easily replace 2 - 4 or more of the other types of shakers. The ButtKicker is used in: Theme park attractions; Specialty theaters; Simulators; Virtual reality machines; Arcade and amusement rides/games; and Custom Home theaters.
The Buttkicker LFE products are designed specifically for low frequency effects. The Buttkicker Concert products are designed specifically for use with music and do not have the same punch on the low end we want in theater and amusement applications.

| Buttkicker BKA1000-4a Subwoofer Frequency Amplifier

The ButtKicker Power Amplifier. Designed specifically to power the ButtKicker LFE, the BKA-1000-4A is an incredible value, chock full of features designed to make the installation and operation of the ButtKicker easier and more affordable.
No preamplifier is required. For home theater, just use a RCA cable to go from your processor's subwoofer out* to the RCA input on the ButtKicker Amplifier. Then, use 12 gauge speaker wire from the amplifier to the ButtKicker. It's as simple as that - plug 'n play.
With 1100 watts into 4 ohms and 2100 watts into 2 ohms. Not only does the ButtKicker Amplifier have over 2100 watts of power, it adds low and high cutoff filters at no additional cost.
The BKA1000-4A is able to power up to 4 - 4ohm BK-LFE Transducers or 8 BK-Mini-LFE Transducers.

| Vibration Isolators VI-43 with Threaded Stud - Sold Individually

The VI-43 rubber vibration isolators are designed to support couches, chairs, platforms etc. for the purpose of maximizing the vibration effect produced by the Buttkicker Transducers. The VI-43 vibration isolators will allow the chair, couch platform to vibrate more freely and reduce the the amount of vibration energy transferred to the floor. These vibration isolators are particularly nice because the metal plate is at the top surface which allows the isolator to be attached without compressing the rubber. Additional the VI-43 isolator is a little taller which will lift the chair out of thick plush carpet. The VI-43 rubber isolators are supplied with a threaded stud and locking nut.
The goal of using an isolator like this is to get the base of the chair off the floor and to provide a new foot that has the ability to let the chair float more easily. The RI-K28 isolators do a good job of this on the thinner more commercial style carpets but if you have a thicker more plush carpet the VI-43 isolator will provide better results.
