The use of Lithium AA Batteries is strongly recommended. Lithium AA Batteries have a shelf life of 15 years typically and are designed to take the added heat load that will be received by placing these reloadable wands in a window. Lithium AA Batteries also do not corrode like alkaline batteries. The use of NiMH rechargeable batteries is NOT recommended. NIMH rechargeable batteries will self drain with or without use within a week typically.

The 12V1AT 12VDC Wall Plug power adapter is a regulated white power adapter with screw terminals capable of supplying 1 Amp (1000ma) of current at 12VDC. The 12V1AT is a Class II UL 12VDC Regulated 1000mA Power Supply with Red LED indicator for power supervision and built in cable strain relief. Its construction is a bright decorator white colored plastic. It comes with a mounting tab and mounting screw to prevent it from being knocked out of the outlet. Its compact design, as well as its decorator color, makes it perfectly suitable for office or residential decors. The use of screw terminals allows for easy wire connection and termination.

A typical shade 30” W x 65” H on a 1.5” tube requires 300ma of current and a shade 86” W x 73” H on a 1.5” tube requires 800ma of current. If you connect multiple shade to one transformer they must be wired in parallel. If you do not understand the difference between series and parallel networks than you should not attempt to wire multiple shades to one power supply. The Somfy 12VDC Wall Plug power adapter is a switching power adapter capable of supplying 2 Amps of current at 12VDC. Switching Adapters are smaller, lighter and more efficient than std wall plug transformers. This little unit is capable of powering multiple shades provided that the shades are sized properly.

The Power Supplies are easy to configure and we have flexible options as shown in the picture above.
Power Supplies are available in 12VDC 5A and 10A as well as 24VDC 5A and 10A.
Somfy LT30 Motors
The LT30 use 12VDC and are rated at 1 Amp maximum current draw.
The 5 Amp power supply will power 5 - LT30 Motors and the 10 Amp Power Supply will power 10 - LT30 Motors.
Somfy Sonesse ST30 Motors
The ST30 use 24VDC and are rated at 0.75 Amp maximum current draw.
The 5 Amp power supply will power 6 - ST30 Motors and the 10 Amp Power Supply will power 13 - ST30 Motors.

The LT30-PR is internal connector used with the LT30 Power Connector. The Pin recepticle is typically used with a compression tool but since those are extremely expensive these can be ternimated with pliers and solder just as effectively.
