Projection Screen Material with borders are for the DIY application where the material is to be face mounted to a frame, wall or other vertical surface. This is most commonly done for tradeshow booths. DIY Home Theater Projection Screens can be created with this method but one should take the approach of a picture frame and put the Velcro on the front of the material. The material with borders should be behind a nicely trimmed frame. The borders provided are not as aesthetically pleasing as most Home Theater uses might prefer. We also offer Adhesive Backed Blackout Framing Fabric which minimizes unwanted reflections on the frame.

The Da-Lite High Contrast Da-Mat material is a good choice for high brightness projectors (2500 lumens or better) with moderate contrast ratios of 2000:1 and for any projector with less than a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The darker gray projection screen material will enrich the colors and improve the black levels of projectors. The darker gray will shift the whites which is why this material is not recommended by us for use with lower brightness projectors with contrast ratios of 2000:1 or better.
