Draper Screen Fabrics: Samples Available Upon Request

There are two basic types of projection screen materials:

1) Textile Backed (Supported ) Projection Screen Surfaces: Fiberglass Matt White, Panamax, Glass Beaded, AT1200, ATGray, High Contrast Gray In this group, the reflective surface is laminated to a woven textile base. The screen surface hangs suitably flat because of the stability of the material and the weight of the bottom dowel. Good for all types of projection.

2) 100% Vinyl (Unsupported) Projection Screen Materials: M1300, M2500, Cineflex, HiDef Grey, Flexible Matt White These projection screen materials are called unsupported vinyl. They are typically used in fixed wall projection screens or roller screens with tensioning capabilities. These materials must be stretch or tensioned to provide a flat viewing surface. Unsupported vinyl's that are flexible are used because they will provide a flatter viewing surface than a more rigid supported vinyl. These unsupported vinyl projection screen materials are great for the DIY home engineer. Simple frames can be created with std wood products that allow the DIY engineer to created a fixed wall projection screen frame at a fraction of the cost of a complete solution.

Draper 100% Vinyl Projection Screen Materials (Unsupported) - Typically used in Fixed Wall Projection Screen Frames

Draper - M1300 Projection Screen Material Image

Extremely broad light dispersion and spectral uniformity. Panoramic viewing angle and true color rendition. Recommended for use with any type of projector in rooms where the light level can be reasonably controlled. Washable.  Gain: 1.0, Viewing Cone: 180deg.

Draper - HiDef Gray Projection Screen Material Image

A grey front projection surface that provides greater contrast and black reproduction than standard surfaces, with a lower gain to handle today’s super-bright projectors. The grey color enhances color contrast and black levels in the projected image and also allows for more ambient light in the audience area than traditional surfaces. Available on all tab-tensioned and permanently tensioned screens. Gain: 0.8, Viewing Cone: 180deg.

Draper - M2500 Projection Screen Material Image

A high-contrast front viewing surface, with excellent resolution and high gain. For data-graphics projectors producing through 1000 ANSI lumens. M2500 tolerates a higher ambient light level than most other front projection screen surfaces. Available on all permanently tensioned and tab-tensioned screens. Gain: 2.1, Viewing Cone: 90deg.

Draper - CineFlex Projection Screen Material Image

A neutral gray vinyl for rear projection. Cineflex has high resolution and excellent contrast, even in lighted rooms. For use with any type of projection equipment.  Gain: 2.3, Viewing Cone: 90deg.

Draper - Flexible Matt White Projection Screen Material Image

Pliable matt white material for use in our Cinefold portable folding screen. It can be stretched, folded and restretched repeatedly without damage. Gain: 1.0, Viewing Cone: 180deg.

Draper Textile Backed (Supported) Vinyl Projection Screen Materials - Typically used in roller applications.

Draper - Fiberglass Matt White Projection Screen Fabric Image

The standard to which all other screen surfaces are compared. Matt white vinyl reflective surface laminated to tear-resistant woven fiberglass. A matt white surface diffuses projected light in all directions, so the image can be seen from any angle. Provides accurate color rendition as well as superior clarity. Recommended for use with all high light output projection devices. Requires control of ambient light in the audience area. Washable, flame and mildew resistant. Now available seamless in all standard sizes through 8' high. Gain: 1.0, Viewing Cone: 180deg.

Draper - Panamax Projection Screen Fabric Image

Seamless matt white material for large roller operated screens—through 16' wide. Panamax has excellent dimensional stability. Washable. Most motorized screens with Panamax are not UL listed. Gain: 1.0, Viewing Cone: 180deg..

Draper - Glass Beaded Projection Screen Fabric Image

Brighter on-axis viewing than matt white surfaces within a narrower viewing cone. Some loss of clarity. Not for use with ceiling or floor mounted projectors. Flame and mildew resistant, but cannot be cleaned. Now available seamless in all standard sizes through 10' high. Gain: 2.5, Viewing Cone: 90deg.

Draper - AT1200 Projection Screen Fabric Image

The most innovative and versatile acoustically transparent screen material. Similar in gain performance to standard matt white and does not require tensioning for flatness. Acoustical properties comparable to the finest speaker grille cloth. Washable, flame and mildew resistant. Available in sizes through 6' x 8' or 10' diagonal. Gain: 1.0, Viewing Cone: 180deg.

Draper - ATGray Projection Screen Fabric Image

Offers the acoustical properties of our popular AT1200, while providing the best optical qualities of both Matt White and High Contrast Grey. It is unique in that it offers both a 180° viewing cone and the vivid color contrast associated with high contrast grey materials. Washable, flame and mildew resistant. Available in sizes through 6’ x 8’ or 10’ diagonal. Gain of 0.8. Not recommended for screens smaller than 80” wide when used with LCD or DLP projectors. Gain: 0.8, Viewing Cone: 180deg.

Draper - High Contrast Gray Projection Screen Fabric Image

Grey textile backed surface offers excellent resolution while enhancing the blacks of LCD and DLP projected images, even as whites and lighter colors are maintained. Performs well in ambient light condition. High Contrast Grey’s lower gain of 0.8 allows use with even the brightest projectors; viewing cone of 180°. Seamless in sizes through 8' in height. Gain: 0.8, Viewing Cone: 180deg.
