The Direct Connect VCIR70DSW is a stereo volume control with built-in IR Repeater that has an impedance matching circuit. The decorator style speaker control can handle 70W RMS of stereo power with 2 speaker inputs/outputs, impedance match up to 8 pairs of speakers for an 8ohm load or up to 16 pairs of speakers for a 4 ohm load and has an integrated IR Repeater (Receiver) for integration with IR networking. Furthermore impedance matching is separate for the Left and right channels so you can have 2 different impedance settings in the volume control if you have odd numbers of speaker connected. The volume control knob is a 12step index style so there are now worries about the unit being all the way off and sound will not bleed through.
