Da-Lite Screen Fabrics: Samples Available Upon Request

There are two basic types of projection screen materials:

2) 100% Vinyl (Unsupported) Projection Screen Materials: Da-Mat, High Contrast Da-Mat, Cinema Vision, High Contrast Cinema Vision, Pearlescent, High Contrast Cinema Perf, Audio Vision, High Contrast Audio Vision, Da-Tex, Dual Vision These projection screen materials are called unsupported vinyl. They are typically used in fixed wall projection screens or roller screens with tensioning capabilities. These materials must be stretch or tensioned to provide a flat viewing surface. Unsupported vinyl's that are flexible are used because they will provide a flatter viewing surface than a more rigid supported vinyl. These unsupported vinyl projection screen materials are great for the DIY home engineer. Simple frames can be created with std wood products that allow the DIY engineer to created a fixed wall projection screen frame at a fraction of the cost of a complete solution.

Da-Lite - Da-Mat Projection Screen Material Image

A smooth, white vinyl finish surface for precise image reproduction. Provides an exceptionally wide angle of view with little loss of resolution. It is a highly flexible fabric and may be folded or rolled. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Can be cleaned with soap and water. Gain 1.0, Viewing Angle: 50°

Da-Lite - HCCV   High Contrast Cinema Vision Projection Screen Material  Image

A smooth gray, vinyl finish surface for low to moderate output projectors. This screen surface is a great choice when video images are the main source of information being projected and where ambient lighting is moderately controlled. This screen material is able to provide very good black levels without sacrificing white level output. With its enhanced black levels and brilliant white levels, this screen surface provides deep life-like colors and greater detail and sharpness to the image. It is a flexible unsupported vinyl fabric and may be folded or rolled. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.1, Viewing Angle: 45°

Da-Lite - Cinema Vision Projection Screen Material  Image

A unique unsupported vinyl surface that offers a bright, uniform image with no color shift at any viewing angle. This surface is designed to provide a higher amount of brightness for lower output projectors types. Its increased reflectivity will help enhance the image brightness in situations where a low level of ambient light is present. As a fabric approved by the Imaging Science Foundation, this surface is a good choice when producing video images. Can be washed with soap and water. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.3, Viewing Angle 45°

Da-Lite - HCDM -  High Contrast Da-Mat Projection Screen Material Image

A smooth, gray vinyl surface for high output LCD and DLP projectors. This surface improves contrast by lowering black levels. It is a flexible unsupported vinyl fabric and may be folded or rolled.  Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant.
Gain: 0.8, Viewing Angle: 45°

Da-Lite - Pearlescent Projection Screen Material Image

A screen surface utilizing unsupported vinyl creating a very smooth Pearlescent coating the provides high reflectivity and brilliance without loss of image quality or resolution. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.5, Viewing Angle: 35°

Da-Lite - Audio Vision Projection Screen Material Image

Designed for applications where a more realistic sound stage is desired, this fabric allows for the installation of speakers to be placed behind the surface. With virtually no sound loss and good image quality, this fabric provides the same optical characteristics as the Da-Mat surface with specially designed perforations to allow sound to pass through the screen material. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant.
Gain: 1.0, Viewing Angle: 50°

Da-Lite - High Contrast Audio Vision Projection Screen Material Image

With the same optical characteristics as the High Contrast Da-Mat material, this surface is designed to provide the viewer with a more realistic soundstage by placing speakers behind the screen and allowing the sound to be transmitted through the material. This screen surface is best used when there is good control of ambient lighting and a moderately wide viewing angle is desired. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant.
Gain: 0.8, Viewing Angle: 45°

Da-Lite - High Contrast Cinema Perf Projection Screen Material Image

With the same optical characteristics as High Contrast Cinema Vision, this surface is perforated to allow placement of a center channel speaker behind the screen surface while allowing the sound to transmit through the material. Ideal for use in environments with moderate control of ambient light. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.1 Viewing Angle: 45°

Da-Lite - Da-Tex Projection Screen Material Image

A translucent, neutral gray vinyl surface that offers high transmission and low reflectance values for optimal viewing. It yields excellent color rendition, image contrast, and a wide viewing angle. Suitable for all types of rear projection. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.8 Viewing Angle: 30°

Da-Lite - Dual Vision Projection Screen Material Image

A unity gain flexible fabric capable of both front and rear projection. the Dual Vision surface is ideal for video projection under controlled light conditions. With an exceptionally wide viewing cone, each seat in the audience will observe a uniform, sharp image with no color shift. Surface requires tensioning due to its flexible nature. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.0 Viewing Angle: 50°

Da-Lite - Silver Vision Projection Screen Material Image

This screen surface is uniquely designed with a specially formulated silver finish. This surface is perfect for situations where a silver finish is necessary for polarized 3-D projection. The matte finish of this surface successfully rejects ambient light. It is a highly flexible fabric that must be tensioned. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Da-Lite - Matte White Projection Screen Fabric Image

The most versatile and uniform screen surface for front projection when ambient light is controllable. Da-Lite - High contrast Matte White Projection Screen Fabric  Image

Designed for moderate output DLP and LCD projectors, this screen surface is a great choice when video images are the main source of information being projected and where ambient light is moderately controlled. With its specially designed gray base material and reflective top surface, this screen material is able to provide very good black levels without sacrificing the white level output. Da-Lite - Video Spectra Projection Screen Fabric Image 

Especially designed for graphics, data and video applications. This surface is coated with a special pearlescent surface that provides an optimal viewing angle with moderate gain. Ideal for applications where where the projector is ceiling mounted. Screen surface can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Flame retardant and mildew resistant. Gain: 1.5, Viewing Angle: 35°

Da-Lite - Glass Beaded Projection Screen Fabric  Image

A glass beaded screen surface has the ability to achieve a higher gain by reflecting more of the projected light back along the projection axis. Glass beads impregnated in the screen's surface provide additional internal reflectance providing an unparalleled screen surface for vibrant, lifelike color reproduction at moderate viewing angles. Not recommended for areas where the screen will be subject to abuse or soiling. Gain: 2.5, Viewing Angle: 30°

Da-Lite - Silver Matte Projection Screen Fabric Image

A uniquely designed screen surface with a specifically designed silver finish. This surface is perfect for situations where a silver surface is necessary for a polarized 3-D projection. Da-Lite - High Power Projection Screen Fabric Image

This screen surface is a technological breakthrough, providing the reflectivity and optical properties of traditional glass beaded surface with the ability to clean the surface when required. Its smooth textured surface provides the highest gain of all types of screen surfaces with no resolution loss. The moderate viewing angle and its ability to reflect light back along the projection axis make this surface the best choice for situations where there is a moderate amount of ambient light and the projector is placed on a table-top or in the same horizontal viewing plane as the audience.
