X10 ActiveHome Pro SW31A / CM15A Overview
With the CM15A USB PC interface you can now control your household electronics with the ActiveHome Pro Software. How you control your home is up to you! Never want to touch another switch? With the X10 ActiveHome Pro's PC home automation, you won't have to! You can create customized home automation routines according to your schedule, so you can wake up to dimmed lights and soft music, come home after work to a brightly lit house, and go to the bed without thinking about turning off all your lights – they'll just turn right off for you. You can even create customized macros to control your more complex systems.
The NEW ActiveHome Pro USB computer interface (CM15A) is ready for future enhancements as well. This Tiny White Box will have you monitoring your home surveillance cameras, controlling your home via the web, and more. The CM15A features built in memory and a battery backup inside the USB Computer Interface allows timers to operate with your computer turned off. The CM15A also sends and receives X10 communication via RF and down the powerline reducing the number of components you used to need for computer controlled home automation. You can use exclusive RF macros to control modules that are tricky to control directly from the CM15A (Requires an X10 RF Receiver)
X10 as an originator of powerline communication systems also has compatibility with many other companies including built-in modules for the Leviton DHCTM line of controllers. Pretty much if it has the ability for you to set a house code and number address either mechanically or electronically it should compatible. View the X10 MFG compatibility list.
